PRIME has built significant capacity over the last six years.
We have been successful in supporting PhD students with a cumulative total of around 20. More than 5 have already graduated. PRIME partners also support the PhD programme in Mental Health Epidemiology at Addis Ababa University.
In addition to supervision of graduate students, PRIME contributes institutional capacity to formal graduate programmes. This includes teaching and supervision on the MPhil in Public Mental Health at the Centre for Public Mental Health in Cape Town and the MSc in Global Mental Health at CGMH in London.
A key focus of PRIME has been to support junior and mid-level researchers to analyse and write up papers for publication. Around a third of all PRIME publications have been authored by PRIME PhD students.
